9:00 am – 10:00 am Seminar #1- Are You Prepared For A Disaster?Disaster just struck your facility and half of your building has been destroyed by fire. But you have a good insurance policy with replacement cost coverage so everything will be taken care of, right? Well, maybe…….. The insurance company sent their adjuster and he arrived with an army of equipment experts, building contractors, forensic accountants and other experts. They are all there to help you get your operation rebuilt and back to normal, right? Well, maybe…… Your insurance agent, accountant and lawyer can all help you with your insurance claim and look after your interests, right? Well, maybe…… What you don’t know can hurt you. Property insurance claims are not as straightforward as they may appear. And insurance companies aren’t necessarily your “good neighbor” when disaster strikes. Any good business has prepared a disaster plan to protect their employees and assets during an emergency. That plan should also include an understanding on how your insurance policy will pay your claim and what you need to know to protect your financial interests. Neal Novak, Regional Vice President of the Alex N. Sill Company, has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. His company exclusively represents the policyholder in property and business interruption claims. He is a veteran of disasters such as Hurricanes Andrew and Katrina, the Great Flood of 1993 and many other catastrophes. Join us as he shares his extensive knowledge and great advice on how you can avoid the common errors that business owners make with insurance companies and have a successful outcome with your claim.Presenter: John Taucher, Portage Packaging Neal J.
